== Workshops and Softblocks ==

{{notice|Spring 2024 quarter workshops are on Wednesdays at 1:00pm ET / 12:00pm CT / 10:00am PT. Please circulate/share your work by the end of the day (in your local time) of the Wednesday preceding your slot.}}

The '''CDSC workshop''' provides a weekly venue to present/share work about once per quarter. The '''softblock''' provides a time for coworking sessions, meetups with other labs and researchers, and ad-hoc meetings.

Like in the critique and feedback session, you are welcome to workshop a wide range of things: planning documents, draft papers, manuscripts with reviews, grant applications, job market materials, practice talks, brainstorming potential projects, etc.

As we iteratively build out this schedule, don't forget to check the holiday schedule for each campus. Veteran's Day is observed at UW but not (as of 2023) at NWU or Purdue. Also, quarterly breaks can diverge.
