Bring Your Own Research Workshop

BYOR is a research workshop for CDSC affiliates and fellow travelers at Northwestern convened by Aaron Shaw. Participants present research-in-progress and provide feedback, accountability, and support to each other in weekly meetings. Most members of the group are affiliates of the Media, Technology & Society and Technology & Social Behavior programs at Northwestern and study online communities, collective action, organizations, collaboration, and related topics.

Get connected/involved

We currently meet every Friday from 3-5pm in Room 2-378 of the Frances Searle Building on the Northwestern University Campus.

The best way to get information about the workshop is to email Aaron or to subscribe to our email list: byor@listserv.it.northwestern.edu by sending an email to listserv@listserv.it.northwestern.edu with "subscribe byor <full_name>" (replace "<full_name>" with your name) in the body of the message.

Snacks (Winter 2016)

Food restrictions this quarter: no soy, no meat

Plan on food for ~10 people and we tend to try and have at least one option that is not super sugary. The budget if you're planning on being reimbursed is $50; receipts go to Jordan Dues.
