* To get a user account, ask an existing group member ([[Mako]] and [[User:Aaronshaw|Aaron]] can definitely help, but most others can too).

* The blog is set up to automatically post on Mastodon with a simple message that includes: (a) the title of the blog post and (b) a link to the blog post. You will need to make posts to Twitter manually.

* If you want to embed YouTube videos in a blog post, don't use embed tools. Instead, on YouTube, click Share, go to Embed, copy paste the raw HTML, and paste it into a custom block in the post.
* Make sure to add images (graphs, photos from an event, logo of conference, etc.) to your blog post.
