Hidden Hangouts[edit]

  • The Commuter Commons is located in the HUB on the south side first floor. They serve free hot chocolate on Fridays if you bring your own mug. They also have some give-away mugs for events and if you ask up front.

Tips[edit]

  • Seminars often have food that goes fast beforehand
  • Fruit/tea is thrown away after receptions, fill up
  • New quarter/year often brings giveaways (e.g. Dawg Daze)
  • You can often haggle and barter at farmer's markets
  • Many grocery stores have a clearance section with vast markdowns on shelf stable goods
