When proposing a speech, venues will ask for brief description that can be published beforehand. You will be submitting a statement that details your topic, why this topic is important, what the scope of this talk will be, and what the audience will take away.

Requirements[edit]

In no more than 500 words, your conference abstract must:

  • have a hook
  • have a scope
  • have a take away

Submission[edit]

In the box on Canvas, please list your conference abstract.

Sample (don't use this as your submission)[edit]

Do you use the same few passwords over and over? Is there a piece of paper with hard-to-remember ones somewhere? How about a file that lives on five different devices and is never up-to-date?

Even the most secure passwords can be broken with a $5 wrench. Long forgotten websites are frequently compromised. Files can be stored in The Cloud, but is that really where such sensitive data should be?

By the end of this presentation, you will be able to combine keepassxc and git-annex to maintain and synchronize all of your secure credentials.
