Greetings!

I am writing to invite you to serve as a member of the program committee for the conference OpenSym 2017 (http://opensym.lero.ie/). In 2017, OpenSym will be held in Galway, Ireland, on August 23-25, 2017.

OpenSym 2017 is the premier conference on open collaboration research and practice. It brings together the different strands of open collaboration research, including open source software, open data, open science, open education, open policy making. Thus. we are seeking to create synergies between these often separated research fields to inspire new interdisciplinary collaborations but also, to seek common design principles for open collaboration and its role in our society.

A member of the program committee, you would be listed publicly on the OpenSym website and in the program unless you request otherwise.

The responsibilities of a member of the program committee are described in detail below. Please read them carefully before deciding whether to accept this invitation. The success of the conference depends on the full commitment of each member of the program committee. Please let me know of your decision as soon as possible, but no later than April 1, 2017.

The important dates for the OpenSym 2017 review process are:

- The submission deadline for authors is: April 7, 2017
- The bidding begins at: April 26, 2017
- The review deadline is: June 2, 2017
- The rebuttal deadline is: June 16, 2017
- Review decisions will be completed: June 30, 2017

Additionally, I would also like to ask that you solicit quality papers for the conference, encourage others to attend and plan to attend yourself.

I hope you will accept this invitation, and I look forward to working together to make OpenSym 2017 a tremendous success.

Best regards,
[YOUR NAME]
