== Credit and Notes == This syllabus is the work of many people—more people, in fact, than I even know. This will be the fifth time I have taught this course at UW and it has been taught or co-taught by Leah Ceccarelli, Carmen Gonzalez, Patricia Moy, LeiLani Nishime, Valerie Manusov, Christine Harold, Ralina Joseph, and Kirsten Foot during the time period that I've been at UW and, I'm sure, by many others before. This syllabus is typically "past down" and reflects the work of all of these people. It also includes feedback from the Graduate Program Committee and from other UW Department of Communication faculty on an ''ad hoc'' basis. Previous versions I have taught include: * [https://mako.cc/teaching/2019/com500/ COM 500: Communication Theory Development (Fall 2019)] * [https://mako.cc/teaching/2017/com500/ COM 500: Communication Theory Development (Fall 2017)] * [https://mako.cc/teaching/2016/com500/ COM 500: Communication Theory Development (Fall 2016)]
