I remembered being in Canada and writing a project using openparliament.ca; apparently the US has a similar service, called https:// www.opencongress.org/

I'm sort of curious, so I want to see what we can glean from pulling data down about governments. (Say, what's the over-under for the usual bill in a given congress?)

A few ideas for questions to answer: - How many members of congress (house or senate) actually vote on a given bill? - How many bills has your member of congress voted on? - Who has introduced or been a co-sponsor of the most bills in a given congress? The fewest? The top ten of each? - How effective is your member of congress at getting bills passed? (Co-signer or introduces bills, and they pass? [For bonus points, track them across both House and Senate!]) - How commonly does your congress member work with other state congress members? Across party lines? - Can we get keywords for bills, and what are the top keywords in bills for this congress, or previous ones? How about what your congressperson votes for or against? - What's the overall [https:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flesch%E2%80%93Kincaid_readability_tests "grade level"] of bills in this congress? Previous ones? How about what your congressperson votes for? Against? Introduced? Co-sponsored?
