M: Orientation, Intro Speeches
- Preparation:
- Familiarize yourself with the course syllabus
- Read the intro speech assignment description
- Read the definition of rhetoric
- Activities:
- Discuss course goals, assignments, and policies
- Discuss how a rhetorical approach to public speaking provides us with a set of transferable skills
- Everyone will perform an introductory speech
- Q&A about the course and instructor

- Preparation:
- Read the impromptu speech assignment description
