== Implementation details == This section provides some tips for implementing this feature. * Wikiq currently uses [https://docs.python.org/3/library/argparse.html argparse] to parse command line arguments. Since the arguments we will add should accept multiple values, they should be added to our parser using
[[https://docs.python.org/3/library/argparse.html#action][action]]='append'
. * [https://docs.python.org/3.7/howto/regex.html#non-capturing-and-named-groups See named capture groups] in the python
re
library for details on how to extract the names of the groups and their values given a match. * There is more than one reasonable way to output a list-type in a tsv. I (nate) suggest outputting [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JSON JSON] arrays inside double-quotes (
""
). See [https://stackoverflow.com/questions/32742976/how-to-read-a-column-of-csv-as-dtype-list-using-pandas this stack overflow example] of how this format can be read in pandas. Since JSON is so widespread it's likely that users will be able to handle it easily. * Add unit tests in the
test
folder. Unit tests should test new functions as well as a the
argparse
api.
